If you need to cancel, please give me the courtesy of 24 hours notice. Due to the high amount of last minute cancellations and missed appointments I will now be charging the full fee of the massage treatment missed. My name is Angela Gillan, RMT and I have had a home based clinic called Caring Hands Massage Therapy since 2007. I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2001. I have extra training in Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage, Reiki, Acupressure, and Jade Hot Stones. I also provide swedish massage, deep tissue massage, or a relaxing massage based on your needs.
Before your first appointment you fill out a client Health History form online. Then I will do an Initial Assessment to see what your health concerns are and provide you with a safe and effective treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs. This will be provided in a safe, professional, ethical, and confidential environment.
Massage Therapy is defined under the scope of practice as "The assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tisssues and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or relieve pain." - Massage Therapy Act 1991.
